The Humuhumunukunukuapuaʻa is the official state fish of Hawai'i, known for its colorful, geometric patterns and its ability to "lock" a dorsal spine to wedge itself into crevices for protection. Its long name, often shortened to "humuhumu," translates from Hawaiian to roughly "fish with a pig-like nose" because of its snout and tendency to make grunting or snorting noises when threatened or caught.
This reef-dwelling triggerfish feeds on invertebrates like starfish and crustaceans and is a common sight in Hawaiian reefs.
Crafted from tough, eco-friendly cellulose acetate sourced from plants, it’s both stylish and sustainable.
Charm is sized between 2.5 and 3.5 inches, excluding the hardware.
